Kuala Lumpur is a city of skyscrapers and rooftops with incredible views. It’s hard to go wrong, but here are the KL rooftops you can’t miss.
Best Infinity Pool: The FACE Platinum Suites
If you want that iconic KL shot, you’re going to have to get a room for the night. We found a condo in the FACE suites for $45 USD on Airbnb, where we actually didn’t even end up spending the night. But it was perfect â we split the cost, parked our belongings in the beautiful apartment, and hit the infinity pool, which is on the 51st floor. Talk about views!
Pro Tip: Don’t book through the hotel – instead go through Airbnb or Booking.com. This rule of thumb applies to a lot of situations, but in this case the hotel rooms cost double the price!
Unfortunately, for those of you considering sneaking in, I wouldn’t recommend it. You need a key card to get up the elevator, and there was a security attendant on the 51st floor checking room keys as you head out to the pool area.
Coolest Concept : Heli Lounge Bar
By day, it’s an operating helipad. By night, it’s one of KL’s hottest bars.
Wait, rewind, actual helipad by day? Yup. Around 4PM, they close it down and transform it into a bar terrace, bringing out all the furniture for the evening.
Quite a few stairs to conquer, but you’ll be rewarded with a complete 360 view of KL.
Best Sunsets: Vertigo
Catching a sunset at Vertigo should absolutely be on your To Do list while in KL. The Banyan Tree hotel is home to Vertigo â one of the best rooftops in Kuala Lumpur, overall.
Though it’s on the expensive side, it’s worth checking out. Chill during the week that turns into a hotspot on the weekends. Good cocktails, great vibes and panoramic views. Easy decision!
Best Boujie Food: CĂ LA VI KL
Looking for a swanky lounge spot? Ce La Vi. Serving Asian-fusion food, it’s a prime spot right in the middle of the city for the ultimate dinner + drinks combo.
Beyond that, it’s also a club that attracts some of KL’s upper echelon. So dress to the nines, and enjoy your night out!
